Easy & Portable, Clean, Quiet, Reliable Propane Heat for Camp
Designed in-house, assembled and supported by our local Fort Collins, Colorado team. The Propex Slimline PS2000 is a compact, portable propane heater designed to bring quiet, dry heat to small camping spaces without the fuel smell, noise, or cold-weather gelling fuel headaches that can come with diesel heaters.
With 6,500 BTU of forced-air heat and operation at 10,000 feet of elevation and above with our High Altitude Modification, the Slimline PS2000 is a great fit for truck campers, tents, hunting and ice fishing shelters, day camps, and other small spaces where dependable heat matters.
Why Choose Propane Over Diesel?
Diesel heaters have their place, but propane can be a better fit for portable camping heat. Propane provides a clean, convenient fuel source without the diesel fuel-gelling concerns that can complicate winter operation, and the Slimline's forced-air design keeps the heat where you want it.
- Less fuel odor: Propane provides little to no fuel smell compared with diesel or gasoline-fueled heaters.
- Cold-weather friendly: Propane does not have the diesel gelling issue that can complicate winter operation.
- High-elevation capable: The PS2000 Slimline is designed to operate at elevations up to 10,000 feet and beyond with High Altitude Modification.
- Quiet operation: An integrated muffler and full-length intake pipe help keep operating noise down to approximately 65 dB.
- Dry heat: The forced-air system delivers dry heat without introducing the moisture created by combustion inside the living space.
- Easy to take along: The compact aluminum case, quick-disconnect propane connection, and 12V DC power connection make the Slimline easy to move between adventures.
Warm, Dry Heat Without the Combustion Inside
The Slimline PS2000 is designed to sit safely outside your tent, truck camper, or other camping space, while heated air is delivered inside through ducting. The combustion process stays separate from the air you're breathing.
Propex uses a closed-loop forced-air heating system. Air from your living space is circulated through the heater, warmed, and returned to the same space. The system does not continuously pull cold outside air into your shelter simply to heat it, helping maintain a comfortable interior without constantly introducing cold outside air.
The heater draws fresh air from outside and exhausts combustion gases, including carbon monoxide outside. The air being heated for your living space remains separate from the combustion process.
| Heater Location | Outside the occupied tent, camper, or shelter |
| Heated Air | Recirculated from the living space through the heater and back inside |
| Combustion Air | Drawn from outside |
| Exhaust | Directed outside when installed according to Propex requirements |
| Heat Type | Forced-air propane heat |
Small Heater. Serious Heat.
At roughly 18 pounds before ducting, thermostat, and other accessories, the Slimline PS2000 is small enough to pack along without giving up useful heating power. It delivers 6,500 BTU of forced-air heat while using relatively little 12V power.
| Heating Output | 6,500 BTU |
| Fuel | Propane |
| Elevation | Operates up to 10,000 ft |
| Weight | Approximately 18 lbs. before ducting and accessories |
| Power | 12V DC |
| Running Power Draw | Approximately 1.6 amps |

Built for Real-World Camping
The home of Propex North America, took the proven Propex HS2000 heater and packaged it inside a compact, portable aluminum case. The result is a heating system that can move between adventures instead of becoming a permanent part of one vehicle or shelter.
- TIG-welded aluminum case: Durable 16-gauge aluminum construction protects the heater while keeping combustion air separate from recirculated heated air.
- Weather-resistant design: IP67-rated connections and a weather-resistant case help protect the heater from the elements.
- Protected combustion intake: Stainless-steel mesh helps keep bugs and debris out of the combustion tube housing.
- Efficient air circulation: Heavy-duty outlet ducting directs heated air where you need it, while lightweight return-air ducting helps improve circulation and efficiency.
- Portable propane connection: A compact quick-disconnect propane regulator and hose assembly are included.
- Easy storage: Inlet and outlet caps help keep dirt and debris out of the heater when it is packed away.
Designed for Flexible Installations
The PS2000's compact form makes it useful in a variety of adventure setups. The 14-gauge rear panel provides options for temporary or semi-permanent mounting, including applications such as a Hiker Trailer, Vanagon, Teardrop Camper Molle panel, or custom RV overlanding setup.
